Nakuru is placed in the inland of Kenya, 3 hours drive from Nairobi and another 4-5 hours drive to Lake Victora.

Nakuru is 1.850 meters above sea level, is Kenya's third larges city and has got its name from the Maasais. Most of the citizens speak Tezwahili, and English is a common second language.
